The Central Florida Women's Resource Center supports our community by recognizing the power of women; celebrating women's achievements; connecting with other women's organizations; and identifying, impacting and supporting women's social, educational, health, political, economic, spiritual and artistic issues.
Community Conversations "Time, Talent and Treasure"
On Feb 20, 2013 the Women’s Resource Center hosted a Community Conversation to over 100 donor/investor - individual or leader of professional associations, businesses, networks and service organizations - on using Time, Talent and Treasure effectively. Three very different models were presented. Already there is a buzz in the community on what was discussed and plans are being implemented by some of the attendees.
Time was facilitated by Dr. Barbara Jenkins (OCPS Superintendt) and Kathleen Oropeza who focused on advocacy.
Talent was facilitated by Rhonda Rhodes (Universal Orlando) who focused on organizing skills and the volunteer programs used by Universal Orlando.
Treasure was facilitated by Meredith McWaters (Friends of Harriett/Harriett’s Favorite Things) and Cynthia Wood (Women in Philanthropy) who focused on creative ways to generate financial support.
