This year WRC celebrates its 25th year of the Summit Awards. This special occasion warrants a special award, called the “Silver Summit Awards: 25 Years of Legacy”. As its name indicates, this event will honor women who have given 25 years or more of service to the Central Florida community.
These women will be recognized as “Silver Summit Award” winners at a dinner to be held in their honor on October 6, 2009 at The Rosen Centre. Both prior Summit Award winners and non-Summit Award winners can be nominated for this award.
Awards will be given to women who have contribute to the Central Florida community by performing countless hours of community work for the good of all; have a history of diverse community service, and whose service goes beyond job related responsibilities. In addition, the nominee should demonstrate leadership through community visibility, support of women's issues, and acting as a role model (both professionally and socially).
Please take a few minutes to nominate a woman who meets the above criteria. The nomination form can be obtained from the WRC website, www.wrc-online.org , and must be received by June 1, 2009.
