Summit Awards - Save The Date!
Join us for a magical and inspirational evening as we honor women who have given 25 years or more of service to the Central Florida community.
WRC is celebrating its 25th annual Silver Summit Awards to honor five outstanding women who have given over 25 years of community service.The Silver Summit Awards will be an inspirational tribute to honor: Mena Bonnewitz, Martha O. Haynie, Harriett Lake, Linda Hanlon Sutherland and Annetta Wilson. In addition, Becky Cherney, founder of the Central Florida Women’s Resource Center will be honored with the Founder’s Award for leading the efforts that created the Women’s Resource Center in 1984.These women are community role models, visibly supportive of women's issues, have achieved meritorious goals, and have performed countless hours of community service over the last 25 plus years.

The annual Summit Awards are an inspirational tribute to women who are community role models, are visibly supportive of women's issues, have achieved meritorious goals, and have performed countless hours of community service. The evening award program, held in the fall, is likely the best-known activity of the WRC and serves as the largest fundraiser of the year.
Some years, the "Becky Award" - named for founder Becky Cherney - is presented at the Annual Summit Awards to an outstanding leader within the WRC, for services above and beyond her call of duty to this organization.
