The annual Summit
Awards are an inspirational tribute to women who are community role
models, are visibly supportive of women's issues, have achieved
meritorious goals, and have performed countless hours of community
service. The evening award program, held in the fall, is likely the
best-known activity of the WRC and serves as the largest fundraiser of
the year.
Some years, the "Becky
Award" - named for founder Becky Cherney - is presented at the
Annual Summit Awards to an outstanding leader within the WRC, for
services above and beyond her call of duty to this organization.
